About me

I'm Jakub Sokol, a Business Intelligence specialist based in London.

What I do

I've always been drawn to patterns. Early in my career I realised I was naturally good at spotting insights in data, but doing it with basic tools. When I discovered business intelligence as a field it clicked. Here was a way to combine that pattern-spotting with proper analytics, sharp design, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to the people who need them.

I build BI ecosystems, not just dashboards. That means shaping the data model, designing the reporting layer, and making sure the end result is something stakeholders actually engage with and trust.

I've worked across commercial, supply chain, marketing and customer insight environments, and I'm currently building an aviation analytics project that is one of the most interesting things I've worked on yet. Each industry teaches you something different, and that breadth is something I bring to every new challenge.

Experience highlights

At The Jockey Club I built the BI function from the ground up. There was no commercial BI when I joined. I designed and delivered the organisation's first customer insight dashboard, covering segmentation, loyalty behaviour and ticketing patterns, and integrated digital and paid media data through GA4 and Supermetrics.

At Stanley Black & Decker I led BI for European supply chain operations, automating workflows that removed over 15 manual steps and cut stock-out flagging from three days to the same day.
